MY  BOOKS

In the year 1986 I closed my eyes on the island Santorini on Perrisa beach.
Santorini, a volcanic Island, exploded appr. 1500 BC. and caused Atlantis to be whiped out with an explosion which was much stronger than Krakatau. Waves of a great height washed all the shores of the surrounding islands, which were part of the lost Atlantis, a continent that is now gone, only its ruins remain. Mankind has been searching for hundreds of years to find the lost Atlantis. But I tell you they will only find ruins.
And it is when one closes his eyes that one will find the lost continent, the continent of our soul.
Only then can a new Atlantis be born, if one starts listening again with the heart and looks beyond it. When one starts to realize that we are not our feelings and our thoughts but that we are nothing and in that nothingness we are love.
I closed my eyes on Santorini on Perissa beach for me for you. For once I was part of these mountains, the sea and the people and Santorini spoke to me in silence. The silence became words for you to feel, to become. I want in all my love and compassion that I feel for the world today to share these silent words with you. To sound the bell. The sound of our inner silence.
Much has happened to me while I was on Santorini. I have not been given any words for that. It's a silent song in me, which can also become yours. Give your ears wings and fly with me to your destination, your home. Welcome home, people.
Luka 1986

In his search for spiritual growth and inner wisdom, Luka van den Driesschen found these spiritual pebbles on the beach of life. Like all stones, they differ in color, form and weight. Some may sound ordinary or evident at first. Some may seem odd. But like all stones, when you look at them more closely, when you take them in your hand, twist and turn them, and weight them, they may reveal their timeless meaning and cast a powerful light on your own spiritual walk of life.

Luka van den Driesschen (1944) lived his early years in Amsterdam, before migrating with his parents to Australia. Left behind by his parents at the age of 15, he travelled all over the world in search of his own destiny: an endless odyssey -inspired by John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Gandi, Osho, Krisna Murti, Jezus, Jonathan Livingston Seagull and so many others- that brought him to Santorini, Crete, Swiss, United States and India. Finally back in Holland, he started his own Spiritual Centre in Baarn. Nowadays Luka lives in Amersfoort, sharing his writings and music with people all around the world.
